Fredric C. Griffiths 

April 25, 1906 - May 12, 2002 

Fred Griffiths was a founding member of the East Islip Historical Society and the single largest source of Historical information about East Islip and surrounding towns. His father, Arthur "Judge" Griffiths came to East Islip in 1897 and made the Westbrook Golf Club an important chapter in the birth of Golf in the U.S. The world has lost a kind, gentle, remarkable man with a great sense of humor. He was a true gentleman of the Old School and he will be greatly missed.
